I Made A Film 2025

In 2025, we hosted our very first independent film festival—I Made A Film, in collaboration with Syer.

What began as a simple idea among friends grew into a full-circle celebration of creativity, community, and independent storytelling. Held in the heart of Braamfontein, Johannesburg, the event brought together filmmakers, dreamers, and audiences for a day of screenings, conversations, and connection.

We showcased short films by emerging local talents and a feature film—each followed by live Q&As. Guest speakers Alex Sono, Ntokozo Mlaba, and Mo.thecreative also took the stage, sharing powerful insights and personal stories that inspired the room.

But this was more than just a festival—it was a space where stories breathed, where filmmakers found their people, and where first-time creators saw what was possible.

And it was just the beginning.
